It’s been a month! The full release of Chapter Two begins tomorrow. This next chapter will have five sections and I’ll post all of them tomorrow after work.
If you haven’t finished chapter one, give it another shot. I made some edits, cleaned up and simplified some parts, hopefully made it slightly less challenging (problematic)? A lot of the weirdness was intentional. You either liked the strange tense shifting or not at all, I’m guessing.
I realize that reading only one chapter each month is slow and tedious. But that’s just the way for now. I think you’ll like the view from Chapter Two. It’s much different than the opening salvo.
Chapter Two begins 17 years prior to the Great Event.
Here are some things to consider as we continue…
If this were in print, flipping through the pages and looking at the complete table of contents, you would notice something about the years. The Great Event serves as the dividing line between the first half and the second half of this entire story.
Most of Nova will be presented like an epistolary collection, meaning these sections are like uncovered documents, various narratives from different perspectives.
I hope the added context is helpful, especially since reading a serial release online is not the most ideal experience. But it is unique, and my goal is for us to have fun with it.
